    Architecture

    The monastery is renowned for its traditional Burmese (Arakanese) wooden architecture. The main temple is elevated on stilts and adorned with intricate wooden carvings and ornate cupolas. A notable feature is the large bronze Buddha statue, which rests on a marble platform and is recognized as the second-largest Buddha statue in Bangladesh .

    • Route: Head south on Marine Drive Road, then take the Ramu-Maricha Road towards Lamar Para

    • Navigation: Use Google Maps or a local GPS service for precise directions

    By Public Transport:

    • Option 1: Take a local bus or CNG (auto-rickshaw) from Cox’s Bazar to Ramu

    • Option 2: From Ramu, hire a CNG or auto-rickshaw to Lamar Para

    • Note: Confirm the return transport schedule, as services may be limited in the evening​
