The roof is designed in multiple tiers with curved, pointed ends, symbolizing layers of spiritual ascension and enlightenment, which is central to Buddhist beliefs.

Wooden panels adorn the temple's exterior and interior, depicting scenes from the Jataka tales, which recount the past lives of the Buddha. The detailed carvings demonstrate the artisans' skills, as well as the deep devotion of the Rakhine community to Buddhist teachings.
